I would rate my experience 4/5 overall. The room itself is spacious and looks exactly like it did in the pictures and during the video call, so there were no unpleasant surprises in terms of the room or its size. The process of getting the room was honestly one of the best parts. Everything was very direct and straightforward, and I felt comfortable paying for everything even though I hadn’t seen the room in person beforehand. The fact that the room is managed by a rental agency rather than being rented directly from a random individual definitely gave me an extra sense of security. When I arrived, the room was a little dusty, and it seemed like it probably hadn’t been cleaned since the previous tenant moved out. I think the room should have been cleaned before a new tenant arrived. The house itself also had quite a few spiders and spiderwebs, which may be partly due to the building being older, but I think this is something that could be addressed. My mom and I cleaned the house thoroughly two days after arriving, and it is much better now. There are still a few spiders, but significantly fewer. My roommates have been really nice and helpful. Whenever I have a question, I can just ask them and they are always happy to help. They have even let me borrow some of their things, which made settling into a new place much easier. I haven’t had many interactions with the landlord yet, particularly regarding repairs or fixing things in my room, so I can’t really give an opinion on that aspect yet. The kitchen works perfectly, which is definitely a plus. And the location is honestly 10/5. There is a supermarket about two minutes away, and there are two restaurants directly in front of the house that I’ve already added to my go-to places whenever I don’t feel like cooking. The train station is also nearby, around a 10-minute walk, which makes getting around very convenient. Overall, despite the initial cleanliness issues and the spiders, I’m happy with the room and the house. After cleaning everything ourselves, the place feels much better, and I’m looking forward to settling in properly.
